Temporarily they have to sell at somewhat lower prices, but probably will come into their own a little later. Single violets are more abundant and lower in price. Valley continues to sell well. Asters and gladioli are over -for the season, but a few dahlias still arrive. Lilies move well; some short- stemmed speciosums go slowly, how- ever. Small lots of callas and some Bouvardia Humboldtii are seen. Pansies are plentiful, most of the flowers being outdoor grown. Pink snapdragon cleans up better than other colors. Sweet peas are not yet numerous. Trade in green stock has been quite good. Flower Exchange Banciuet. The annual banquet of the Boston Flower Exchange, held at Young's hotel October 23, brought out a record at- tendance, was brim full of enthusiasm and was in every way the best of many occasions of this kind that this progres- sive body of wholesale flower growers has yet held.
