A child in the Garki area of Abuja peeks out from under a Permanet long lasting insecticide treated mosquito net. Sleeping under a mosquito net every night prevents malaria, which is transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito. Globally, malaria kills 1,000,000 people every year, most of them pregnant women and children under five.
