The Graying of AIDS: HIV medications. Sue Saunders organizes her daily HIV medication regimen two weeks in advance. Like many people dependent on the anti-retroviral drug cocktails Sue has battled with a multitude of side effects over the years. If only people realized how sick this medicine made you they would never have sex again. Practically no studies have been done to determine how AIDS drugs interact with medications for heart disease high blood pressure or other conditions of aging. Sue's current regimen consists of Reyataz Ziogen and Norvir as well as Viread twice a week. She is tolerating this combination well but in the past has suffered from extreme reactions to the treatments ranging from kidney failure to being so sick she was confined to a wheelchair for six months.
