Soyuz TMA-3 spacecraft in Earth orbit, as seen from the International Space Station (ISS). This Soyuz spacecraft is approaching the ISS two days after launching from Kazakhstan. It carried two Expedition 8 crew members, British-US astronaut Michael Foale (commander and science officer) and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Kaleri (flight engineer and Soyuz commander), as well as Spanish astronaut Pedro Duque. The Soyuz spacecraft docked with the ISS at 07:16 GMT on 20 October 2003, while passing over Russia. Photographed by an Expedition 7 crew member on 20 October 2003.
