A cablearound the snatch-block with one end attached to the loadand the other to the crane hook can be used to haul theload off the truck and onto the station floor, where it canthen be picked up by the crane in the usual way. The ring-bolt is set low enough in the basement floor so it can becovered with a checkered plate flush with the floor. THE ELECTRICAL FEATURES OF THE SENECA STREETSUB-STATION Power at 25 cycles, three-phase, 11,000 volts, enters thebus-bars at one side of the building and passes straightacross through the successive switches and apparatus to the possible route. The ducts converge into one large vaultunder the street. The placing of apparatus is so arranged that there isample room around each element to perform usual opera-tions, and the aisles are wide
