The Puerta Cerrada square, Puerta Cerrada, is located in the La Latina neighborhood of the historic center of the Spanish city of Madrid. The complex preserves the name of Puerta Cerrada through which the Christian wall of Madrid was opened here, during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, and which was demolished in 1569, on the occasion of Isabel de Valois' entry into the city wife of Philip II.
