Bement Collection, American Museum of Natural History BEMENT COLLECTION i 67 plates, with surfaces curiously lined, pitted and scored, apparentlyimpressed by the crystallizing calcite; one exquisite specimen, inoctahedral elongation in arborescent shapes and surfaces minutelytriangulated; flattened blades, surfaces blistered in blebs, as ifmelted, and a surface webbed with lines. The variations are fullof interest. One rhombic-dodecahedron laminated, with seamededges and hollow faces, comes from the Comstock Lode, and a speci-men (given by Miss Bruce) is a crystallized silver enclosed indatolite. In Copper, the Bement Collection has always been renowmed, and a short inspection shows its extreme excellence, from the beau-ty and crystallographic interest of the, not over numerous, but wiselyselected specimens. There are in the collection interesting groupsfrom Australia, a number of excellent examples from Cornwall, the familiar pseudomorphs from C
