A sabre for Officers of the "Chasseur à Pied"., Lightly curved blade, blued and gilded, and etched on the obverse side with "Chasseurs à Pied" and on the reverse side with "Garde Imperiale" between decorative cartouches and a crowned imperial eagle. Manufacturer's mark, "IS & C." Brass knucklebow hilt in relief. There is a of the Emperor Napoleon facing left on the obverse languet. Leather covered grip with brass wire winding.
