space shuttle discovery at the Udvar-Hazy Center in Virginia

The Space Shuttle Discover flew 39 missions, completed 5,830 orbits, and spent 365 days in orbit over 27 years. It is NASA's, and the world's, most flown (and dirty) space craft. These images are of the nose cone, the insulated tiles (showing wear and tear, and replacement), and main engine thrusters.
