The general consistence was tough and leathery,the surface rough, with firm adhesions, which had matted the organfirmly in the pelvis. The Fallopian tubes were hypertrophied, thefimbria fleshy and lost in adhesions to the ovary. In a case removedby Schacht the tubes contained pus (Fig. 4). Microscopically, thestroma presented: 1.
