Cliveden Spring runs into the River Thames about a mile from Maidenhead Bridge. Cliveden House in the estate is a magnificent mansion which has had a chequered history and is now owned by the National Trust and leased to a luxury hotel. The picturesque view, taken in 1827, shows the woodland at the point where the spring runs into the River Thames. The image was drawn by S Ireland and engraved by S Middiman
