The team cheered as the capsule safely returned to Earth following its mission, which brought it further into deep space than any human-rated spacecraft has ever flown before. Artemis I is the first in a series of increasingly complex missions to the Moon. With the Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and the first person of color on the Moon.
