A German hunting sword, 17th century. Long single-edged blade with double fullers on each side and a double-edged point. Signed within each fuller, "CLEMENS BONGENN ME FECIT SOLINGEN" along with a king's head mark on the reverse side. Iron knuckle-bow hilt, with decorative engraving on the obverse side, a cambered shell-guard, and a stag horn grip with an iron pommel cap.
