A Marine follows the class lesson during a Squad Overmatch lecture at Camp Lejeune, , May 3, 2017. Squad Overmatch is a program designed to improve mission readiness through immersion into realistic environments. The training uses the crawl-walk-run method to focus on advanced situational awareness, psychological resilience, teamwork, and combat casualty care while gradually increasing stressors and difficulty in the simulated missions. The Marines are with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division.
