The Victorian Gothic Scott Monument is a memorial to the Scottish novelist Sir Walter Scott and was designed by a carpenter, George Meikle Kemp. The memorial monument contains a John Steell, white Carrara marble sculpture of the Scottish novelist Sir Walter Scott, and his dog Madia.
