Any kind of mangle canbe combined with this stenter, care being takento leave a sufficient distance between the mangleand the stenter for the workman who guides thepiece at its entrance into the machine. Formerlytwo women were employed, besides assistants, whowere provided with brushes and were charged torectify the parts of the stuff not fastened to thestenter, but at the present day one person
