Pic shows: Ruth Davidson has today called for a speedy decision to be made on a new London runway - saying Scottish passengers will benefit from greater capacity in the capital. On a visit to Edinburgh Airport, the Scottish Conservative leader said the UK Government should ensure a plan to expand airport capacity is outlined as quickly as possible. It comes more than two months after the Davies Commission reported back earlier in the summer. It studied three options - a new airport, a second runway at Gatwick and a third runway at Heathrow - before opting for the latter.
