Levonelle emergency contraceptive pill. Levonelle one step and Levonelle 1500 morning-after pills. Levonelle is the brand name of an emergency contraceptive pill manufactured by Schering Healthcare. It contains the synthetic hormone levonorgestrel, which disrupts various stages of ovulation, fertilisation and pregnancy, and is used to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Levonelle one step is available on prescription and over the counter, whereas Levonelle 1500 is only available on prescription.
