Recruits from Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, hold out their canteen cups during pick up at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 28. The new recruits took part in an initial gear inspection to ensure they had all the required gear and were prepared to begin training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate July 21.
