Yangon has it's own version of the bicycle taxi known as a saiq-ka or side car with one seat facing forward and one backwards the drivers nearly all chew betel nut staining their mouths and teeth bright red. The areca nut is sliced and wrapped in betel leaf then chewed to give a mild euphoric stimulating effect rather like a narcotic drug the suer spits out the resulting red juice
