The Short Electric Co., have recently closed acontract with the Lincoln Street Railway Co., Lincoln,Nebraska, for twenty car equipments and forty standardmotors, and this order will be followed by an installmentof a large number of the new gearless motors. The}-have also closed a contract with the West End StreetRailwa}-, of Rockford, 111., for three car equipments, sixstandard motors, and one 8o-horse-power generator, andfor the overhead construction work for four and one-halfmiles.
