Large flock of Canada Geese congregating on a stagnant backwater of the Thames by St Helens Wharf, Abingdon. Branta canadensis is native to the arctic and temperate regions of North America, and has been successfully introduced to the United Kingdom. It can now be seen just about anywhere around the Thames - but rarely in such numbers as this!
