Visitors photograph the USS New York as it sits in port in New York, Nov. 2. The ship is constructed from seven and a half tons of steel salvaged from the World Trade Center towers. Marines from Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 26 traveled here to participate in the commissioning ceremony, Nov. 7. The ship was built to work with the latest Marine Corps fighting machinery including the MV-22 Osprey and has room for 14 Expeditionary Fighting Vehicles. USS New York DVIDS219445
