Ujjain, India. 07th May, 2016. Newly initiated Sadvies or Hindu ascetic women of Awahan Akhara way to attending Diksha, a ritual on the river bank of Sipra during Simhasth Kumbha Mela. Kumbh Mela or Kumbha Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in a sacred river. Traditionally, four fairs are widely recognized as the Kumbh Melas- one of them is the Ujjain Simhastha, although priests at other places have also claimed their local fairs to be Kumbh Melas. © Ravi Prakash/Pacific Press/Alamy Live News
