Sant Marti Sescorts church, Santa Maria de Corco. Romanesque. X century.
Documented in 934 when the city belongs to the Wheel, then going to be part of the castle of Manlleu. It has a list of parishes in the diocese of Vic between the years 1025-1050 as the parish church of San Martín de Cotis name. When it was renovated in 1068, the new building was consecrated bishop of Vic Guillem de Balsareny. It was linked to the monastery of Santa Maria de Manlleu in the twelfth century. Reforms were made in the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. It has a Latin cross nave, apse and transept with three. The ship is covered with vault reinforced with three arches. In the central apse are four niches not outwardly visible, which were decorated with murals, discovered in 1909, moving in 1936 to the MEV. Scenes as the original sin of Adam and Eve's expulsion from paradise. The top of the niches are fragments of paintings depicting the life of the church's patron Saint Martin of Tours: healing a blind man by the saint, St. Martin splitting layer with another poor painting with human figures and animals. All these paintings are dated to the late twelfth century or early thirteenth and are closely related to the churches of St. Stephen Polinyà and Santa Maria de Barbera. Outside you can see the Lombard decoration of the central apse. These arches forming two series arcs between pilasters and apse of the two preserved originals; series of four arches are also separated by pilasters. The bell tower, square and 20 meters high, has a hip roof. Three-story windows, some with blind arches.
