The via degli Inferi, at the Banditaccia necropolis (Cerveteri, Italy)
The Banditaccia necropolis is crossed by the Via degli Inferi, which started from the ancient city of Caere and which has always fascinated everyone for the mysterious and poignant charge it transmits. The road is an Etruscan cut totally carved and deeply embedded in the tufaceous bank. In some places the height of the walls reaches a height of 10 meters. Along the way, the footprints of the wheels of the wagons that have crossed it and the incredible and numerous tombs that flank them, full of details and surprises.
