Also upon the Illinois Central, in Illinois. The improvement consists mainly, in the adoption of the Wrought Iron Transverse Bars, instead of the CastIron Rockers, generally in use. There are, however, other delails o importance. The box or body of the car rests on the ends of the Transverse Bars, whose other and lower ends are attachedto the Irameof the truck ; two of the (wroujml iron) bars are used at each end ot the cars, to support mid op )ate asguides in dumping the car.
