A migrant species, the flight period is Spring to late Autumn with large numbers appearing in some years This species is a member of the noctuidae family and is found throughout Europe, as well as parts of Asia and north Africa. The larval food plants are a wide range of low plants. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in September.
