The order of profits from these applications is the order in which the applications are given above. The unfertilized plat pro- duced seed cotton to the value of $ per acre and ranked in fourth place in order of profitable production. At the Iredell farm the order of values of increase over cost of fertilizers per acre were in the following order: First from an application of a mixture of 37^/2 pounds of dried blood, 33 pounds of nitrate of soda, 140 pounds of basic slag and 50.
