In 1869 Isaac Ellsworth became owner of the Milwau-kee City. Between 1875 ^n^ 1881 the Reed street andNational avenue lines were double tracked and the trackremoved from Ferrj, South Water, Florida and Green-bush streets, besides various extensions and improve-were made in this time.
