Tender and brittle, melting in one's mouth like ice cream, and strange to say, it is as sweet as ice cream. It is not good for shipping, be- cause when fully ripe a little jar will crack it to pieces—perfectly marvelous—but for the home harden it is the one melon to Sow above all others.
