The creek looks nearly frozen, and icicles grow out from under cold green moss and ferns, as an early winter freeze settles into the McCord creek canyon below Elowah Falls. In early winter, before snow covers the ground, the temperature drops like a rock and freezes parts of a small creek with mini waterfalls (and a very large one in the background) as it flows its way downhill through a narrow gully and winds its way over and around green moss covered rocks.
