It is one of the best flavored squashes in existence. The name is given in reference to its quality 'delicious' the word mostly used to describe its quality. It is the result of years of selection and crossing between the Hubbard and other varieties. It is uniformly of a green color when matured. Flesh very thick, of a dark orange color, weight 5 to 10 lbs. For table use it leads all others in its remarkable combina- tion of fine and compact grain, dryness, sweetness and richness of flavor. It is a late fall and winter squash. Per pkt. 5 cts., oz. 15 cts., lb. 50 cts., lb. Banana Squash This is an old variety of a generation or more ago, to come back again, it is listed in some catalogues as the Plymouth Rock, but is the same variety. It is probably the finest in quality ever grown. The color is a grayish green, shell soft so it can be cut with a knife. It grows from 12 to 24 inches long and 6 to S inches thick. It is very prolific, but a shy seeder which makes the seed a little higher in price. Flesh is free from fibre or stringiness and of a most delicious flavor. Seed scarce. Per pkt. 5 cts., oz. 15 cts., 4 lb. 50 cts. This fine little Squash comes highly recommended. Table Queen Squash Just the right size, averaging about 6 to 8 inches long and 4 to 6 inches thick. The vines are vigorous and reproductive and a vines will supply a family. The shell is hard and smooth, they keep as well as Hubbard. The color is dark green with sometimes a red blotch. Cut in half, take out seed and bake for minutes, it will give you a delicious meal, and if you like pie, try one from Table Queen, they are splendid. Per. pkt. 5 oz. 15 cts., lb. 50 cts.
