View E of Plas yn Llan timber-framed house from Llangynhafal churchyard, Denbighshire, Wales; UK, with marble 'needle' memorial to the Hendre'r Wydd & Glanclwyd branches of the Foulkes family whose graves fill the E part of the churchyard. S&E sides: Teulu Hendre'r Wydd (a Llawog), N side Teulu Glanclwyd. The house was built in the E part of a formerly circular churchyard suggesting an Early Christian/Celtic foundation. In the late 1790s William Wordsworth stayed at the house with his friend Robert Jones, describing that 'most delicious of all Vales, the Vale of Clwyd'.
