Theshark being killed with a harpoon, was then hoisted upondeck and opened. The contents of its stomach formed amass of such magnitude and variety as can scarcely be con-ceived. It consisted, among other articles, of the completehead of a female buffalo, a whole calf, a quantity of entrailsand of bones, and large fragments of the upper and undershells of a considerable sized turtle. The length of the sharkwas ten feet eight inches.
