The 26th MEU commanding officer joined the reconnaissance Marines a part of the MEU MSPF during helocast and beach training operations to speak with small unit leaders and gain a better appreciation for the various special insertion methods and capabilities the MSPF provides. Helocasting is an airborne technique used by small unit special operations forces to insert into hard-to-reach areas via bodies of water. This high-risk training prepares the Maritime Special Purpose Force for the upcoming 26th MEU deployment.
