Parts of the three eastern roof bays of the painted ceiling at Gwydir Uchaf Chapel (Holy Trinity Chapel), Vale of Conwy, Wales, UK, representing the Christian Trinity. Central panel shows God the Father, surrounded by four cherubs with worshipping angels to the side. The figure is seated with feet to the E, hand raised in blessing, rays of glory surround His halo & His upper body is encircled by a large glory. Inspired by Italian baroque architecture, the private chapel was begun in 1673 by Sir Richard Wynn. The ceiling is made up of wooden boards painted with glue tempera, the joints sealed with cotton tapes.
