General colour of the plumage deepdull green; cheeks tinged with crimson; prime quills dusky, withdull orange edges; tail dull crimson : legs yellowish. Inhabits Angola, and probably differs from the Beautiful Finchonly in sex: one, in Mr. Bullocks Museum, has the same parts redas in that bird; body plain yellow olive; wings, for the most part,ferruginous orange; rump and tail chestnut red ; bill pale.
