MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 8, 2014) Fire Controlman Louis Alvarez, from New York, readies medical supplies to administer first aid response to a simulated casualty during a medical training evolution aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51). Arleigh Burke, homeported in Norfolk, Va., is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
