This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Earth, first Meteosat-10 satellite image. This was the first image obtained by the Meteosat Second Generation-3 (MSG-3) satellite, later renamed Meteosat-10. This satellite was launched by the European Space Agency on 5 July 2012. It is a geostationary weather satellite that obtains images with its Spinning Enhanced Visible and Infrared Imager (SEVIRI) instrument. The satellite is operated by EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites). This image was obtained on 7 August 2012.
