Our strain of Double Petunias is too well known to require special description. For many years this has been one of the specialties of our establishment, and again this season we have grown many thousands of seedlings from which our collection has been selected, embracing only such distinct fringed varieties and colors that are especially suited to the retail trade. We offer strong 3 inch pots, in 15 distinct varieties, ready about the first of October, at$ per set; or$ per 100. NEW SINGLE VIOLETS. The varieties ofl'ered l)elow are great iraprovemeuts over the old sorts, which were practically of little use except at such seasons when double flowering sorts were not to be had, while in these new sorts the flowers are of such im- mense size that they are fully as desirable as the finest doubles. We offer strong field-grown clumps. Admiral Avellan. A French variety with entirely dis- tinct bright reddish flowers, difl\;rent from anything yet introduced ; the flowers, which are produced very freely, are of large .size and fragrant. $ per doz. ; $ per 100. California. This was sent out as the finest single variety in cultivation. The flowers are very large, borne on long, stout stems, which makes it especially valuable as a cut flower ; intensely fragrant and of a clear violet purple color that does not fade out. $ per doz. ; .$^.0U per ICO. Luxonne. Tliis variety is of French origin, and ia with- out doubt tlio, finest single violet, grown. It is of the same size as tlie t'alilbrnia, but appears nearly double its size, as the petals all open out flat. It is of a beautiful rich but soft violet purple
