Loos-en-Gohelle, France. 26th Sept. 2024. Members of 2 Scots Royal Highland Fusiliers prepare to fire a salve of honour at the end of the burial service for two unknown WWI Scottish soldiers whose remains were found during construction work for Lens hospital. The soldiers were buried with full military honours at the official opening of the cemetery's extension, only the second such extension of a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in France since the end of WWII.
