PubHc School No. 3 is a four-story, T-shaped building, on 158thStreet in The Bronx. The front is an old building, completed in 1891,and the ell was added in 1907. The building, as a whole, is well lighted,and the neighborhood is an apartment district. The new part of thebuilding, including 28 rooms, is ventilated on the plenum system, whilethe 60 rooms in the old part have no fan ventilation.
