Its tunnels built by the Americans were the headquarters of General MacArthur & President Quezon. Its beaches & hills are dotted with coastal artillery batteries & anti-aircraft guns to defend the country's capital from attacks. This week, the announced $500 million in military aid to boost Philippine defense & underscored the Mutual Defense Treaty, their alliance & friendship through common history.
