This statue of Lord Shakyamuni Buddha is located at Dhe Chen Chokhor Kagyupa Monastery in a suburb of Dehra Dun known as Clement Town. Clement Town is an area which is inhabited by Tibetans who fled their country following the Chinese invasion of 1952. The Dhe Chen Chokhor Kagyupa Monastery is beside the Mindrolling monastery.
