As a Select Committee on Municipal Statistics presented a report to the LegislativeAssembly, embDdying the returns for Upper Canada for 1862, it may be desirable toexhibit a comparison of some of the principal results in the two years. The counties ofPrescott and Russell having made no return upon either occasion, in the body of thepresent compilation an estimate from other sources has been filled in for some of thecolumns; but, for the purpose of comparison with 1862, the estimate for Prescott andRussell is deducted from the totals as g
