At top are the kidneys with the adrenal glands (yellow) on top. The left-hand kidney (at right) is seen in front of the spleen (dark red). The kidneys filter waste products from the blood, and excrete them as urine through the ureters (tubes) down to the bladder (lower centre) and urethra (inside penis). Either side of the penis are the testes, which produce the male sex cells.
