More than 30 members of the Idaho National Guard’s Joint Staff directed the Gowen Field’s Joint Operations Center during the IDNG Special Focus Exercise in Boise, Idaho on March 8-13, 2019. The week-long SFE called “Idaho Response-19” is based on an earthquake disaster that was designed to test the IDNG’s ability to interact and respond with regional partners and support civil authorities and agencies during a no-notice, catastrophic disaster. More than 350 Guardsmen from Idaho and the surrounding states participated in the SFE.
