In the spring the foliage is of a golden yellow color which changes to a duller shade as the season advances. The young growth con- tinues brilliant throughout the summer. Sugar or Rock Maple. A. A well-known native tree, of elegant pyramidal form ; valuable both for the production of sugar and for its wood; its stately growth, fine form and foliage make it desirable as an ornamental and shade tree.
