Transport of WIMP detectors. These are used to detect Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs). These are hypothetical particles proposed in some theories of matter. Like neutrinos, they are difficult to detect, and some of the same techniques are used, requiring high-precision equipment, low temperatures, and locations deep underground to eliminate background noise. These WIMP sensors are being transported refrigerated and pressurized in steel containers. The research is being carried out by researchers from the Paris Diderot University, based in Paris, France.
